• Highest proportion of college applicants take this test
• 3 hours and 45 minutes (unless student qualifies for extended time)
• In 2005, analogies were dropped from verbal section and writing section was added

ACT
• English, math, science and reading sections, optional writing component
• Number of college applicants who take ACT is rising – increasingly popular
• Almost all schools accept the ACT (so no SAT scores needed)
• 3 hours and 30 minutes (plus an extra 30 minutes if student chooses to take optional writing component)

AP
• Advanced Placement courses and tests can earn students college credit
• Save on college fees!
• Many high schools offer AP classes starting in 10th grade
• AP courses show admissions officers you’re prepared for academic challenges
